Export of Rice

Notification No. 62/2024-25, Dated 10-03-2025

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), through this notification, has amended the export policy conditions for Basmati and Non-Basmati rice under ITC(HS) sub-heading 1006.

Exports to EU Member States, the UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland now require a Certificate of Inspection from the Export Inspection Council (EIC) or Export Inspection Agency (EIA). However, exports to other European countries are exempt from this requirement for six months, until 09-09-2025.
