Trade Notice No. 34/2024, Dated 20-03-2025
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has initiated a review of the Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) for automobile tyres, specifically covering SION codes A-1722, A-1717, A-1667, A-1666, A-1673, A-1665, A-1664, and A-1663. All concerned Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), exporters, trade bodies, and other stakeholders availing these SIONs are advised to examine their applicability in the current scenario and submit comments or suggestions regarding the necessity and nature of modifications, if required.
Stakeholders proposing modifications must substantiate their recommendations with detailed justifications, production and consumption data, wastage norms duly certified by a Chartered Engineer, and other relevant supporting documents. The submissions must be made within 45 days from the date of issuance of this Trade Notice to the designated email nc7.dgft@gov.in for further examination by the Directorate.
