The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has undertaken an integration process with the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) to enable seamless data exchange between the two entities. As part of this initiative, discussions are ongoing regarding the exchange of GST e-invoices and returns filed on GSTN, which will be utilized for the validation of electronic Bank Realization Certificates (eBRCs) and the verification of deemed export transactions on the DGFT BO portal.
In this context, it is proposed to mandate the receipt of GST e-invoices from GSTN on the DGFT BO portal as a prerequisite for claiming deemed export benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP). All exporters, importers, industry associations, and stakeholders are invited to submit their comments on the proposal by 02-04-2025.
