Duty-Free Import of Gold and Silver

Notification No. 24/2025-Customs, Dated 28-04-2025

The Ministry of Finance has amended Notification No. 50/2017-Customs, Dated 30-06-2017 to update List 34A and List 34B in the Annexure to the Table under S. No. 359A, specifying the banks eligible for specific customs exemptions for duty-free import of gold and silver or both.

List 34A contains thirteen major banks, as specified in the notification and List 34B includes Indian Overseas Bank and Union Bank of India.

It is to be noted that the revised lists shall be effective from 01-04-2025 to 31-03-2026.
