CBIC Revises Travel Guidelines for ICP Attari Border Movement

Attari Integrated Check Post

Instruction No. 08/2025-Customs, Dated 05-05-2025

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued Instruction No. 06/2025-Customs, dated 26th April 2025, revising its earlier directive regarding movement across the India–Pakistan border through the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Attari.

1. Background and Basis of Revision

This revision has been made in compliance with directions received from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Foreigners Division (Immigration Section), as communicated through Office Memorandum No. 25022/05/2025-Imm., dated 24th April 2025.

2. Permitted Movement Through ICP Attari

As per the revised instructions –

  • Pakistani Nationals – Individuals holding valid travel documents are permitted to exit India for Pakistan via ICP Attari.
  • Indian Nationals – Individuals holding valid travel documents are allowed to enter India from Pakistan through the same ICP.

3. Effective Date and Validity

These revised instructions have been implemented with immediate effect and shall remain applicable until further notice.
