Notification No. 16/2025-26, Dated 31-05-2025
1. Extension of Import Policy for Yellow Peas
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a notification to extend the current import policy condition applicable to Yellow Peas, classified under ITC (HS) Code 07131010 of Chapter 07 of the ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule I (Import Policy).
2. Revised Validity Period
Earlier, the import policy was valid until 31st May 2025. As per the new notification, the validity has been extended up to 31st March 2026.
3. Import Policy Status Remains Unchanged
Under the extended period:
- The import of Yellow Peas shall continue to be classified as ‘Free’.
- There will be no Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition.
- There will be no Port Restriction applicable.
4. Mandatory Import Monitoring System (IMS) Registration
Despite the relaxation in import conditions:

Importers are required to mandatorily register their consignments under the Online Import Monitoring System (IMS).
5. Effective Date and Transitional Applicability
This notification shall be effective immediately and is applicable to:
- All consignments of Yellow Peas
- Where the Bill of Lading (Shipped on Board) is issued on or before 31st March 2026
