Public Notice 10/2025-26, Dated 12-06-2025
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a public notice amending Appendix 2E of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, which lists agencies authorised to issue Certificate of Origin (Non-Preferential).
1. Revised Name of the Authorised Agency under Delhi State
As per the amendment:
-
The authorised agency listed at Serial No. 5 under the Delhi State category, previously known as ‘The Sports Goods Export Promotion Council’, has been renamed to
‘Sports Goods & Toys Export Promotion Council’.
This change reflects an expanded mandate of the Council to include the toys sector, thereby aligning with the government’s focus on promoting toy exports along with sports goods.
2. Update in Contact Details
In addition to the change in name, the registered office address, telephone numbers, email ID, and website of the agency have also been officially revised in Appendix 2E. Exporters should refer to these updated contact details when applying for documentation under the Non-Preferential route.
3. Impact on Exporters
This amendment is effective immediately. Therefore:
- Exporters seeking to obtain a Certificate of Origin (Non-Preferential) for goods falling under the jurisdiction of this agency must now approach the ‘Sports Goods & Toys Export Promotion Council’.
- Applications should be routed using the revised contact information to ensure proper processing and avoid delays.
4. Conclusion
The update to Appendix 2E is a procedural yet significant change, particularly for exporters dealing in sports goods and toys. Exporters are advised to review and adapt to the revised agency details promptly to ensure compliance with the latest regulatory requirements under the FTP 2023.
