CBIC has issued Circular, introducing an automated system for the filing and processing of Customs duty refund applications through the ICEGATE Portal. The circular allows applicants to file refund claims electronically, with features like re-assessment of Bill of Entry, pre-filled forms, and direct credit of refunds to bank accounts. Manual refund applications can be filed until March 31, 2025, after which only electronic submissions will be accepted.<\/p>\n

This digitization effort aligns with the government’s goal to fully automate Customs processes by 2026, reducing delays and simplifying the refund procedure.
