This update brings in a <strong data-start=\"354\" data-end=\"375\">notable provision<\/strong> aimed at supporting pharmaceutical needs while continuing to regulate general sugar exports.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"475\" data-end=\"535\">1. Key Amendment \u2013 Introduction of Pharma Grade Sugar Export<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"537\" data-end=\"783\">The primary highlight of the amendment is the <strong data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"644\">new provision permitting the export of Pharma Grade Sugar<\/strong>. Existing Export Provisions Remain Unchanged<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1066\">It is important to note that the <strong data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1055\">existing provisions<\/strong> governing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1095\">General sugar exports<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1148\">Quota-based exports to the EU, USA, and UK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1150\" data-end=\"1228\">remain <strong data-start=\"1157\" data-end=\"1227\">unchanged and continue to operate as per earlier policy frameworks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1275\">3. Mandatory Requirements for Exporters<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1428\">To avail of the export facility for Pharma Grade Sugar, exporters are required to comply with the following documentation and regulatory prerequisites:<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"1430\" data-end=\"1468\">1. <strong data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1468\">Drug Manufacturing License<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1471\" data-end=\"1564\">Exporters must submit a <strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1563\">valid license issued by the respective State Licensing Authority<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1567\" data-end=\"1646\">The license must confirm that the sugar is intended for <strong data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"1645\">pharmaceutical use<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 data-start=\"1648\" data-end=\"1707\">2. <strong data-start=\"1656\" data-end=\"1707\">Quality Certification from NABL-Accredited Labs<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1710\" data-end=\"1807\">Exporters must furnish <strong data-start=\"1733\" data-end=\"1768\">test reports and certifications<\/strong> from <strong data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1806\">NABL-accredited laboratories<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1810\" data-end=\"1906\">These documents should clearly confirm that the sugar meets the <strong data-start=\"1874\" data-end=\"1905\">Pharma Grade specifications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"1952\">3. <strong data-start=\"1916\" data-end=\"1952\">Submission at the Time of Export<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul data-start=\"1953\" data-end=\"2101\">\n<li data-start=\"1953\" data-end=\"2101\">\n<p data-start=\"1955\" data-end=\"2101\">All the above documents must be <strong data-start=\"1987\" data-end=\"2029\">submitted at the time of actual export<\/strong>, without which the Restricted Export Authorization will not be granted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"2108\" data-end=\"2122\">4.
