Notification No. 20\/2025-26<\/a>, Dated 23-06-2025<\/em><\/p>\n

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT)<\/strong> has issued a notification amending Para 2.03(A)(i)(g)<\/strong> of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2023<\/strong>, bringing key changes to the Export Obligation (EO) period<\/strong> applicable to imports made under the Advance Authorisation scheme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

1. Revision of 180-Day Export Obligation Rule<\/h2>\n

Previously, imports under Advance Authorisation for certain notified products were subject to a restricted EO period of 180 days<\/strong> from the date of import clearance. Under the amended provisions:<\/p>\n

  • The 180-day EO restriction<\/strong> will now apply only to chemical products<\/strong> that are covered under mandatory Quality Control Orders (QCOs)<\/strong> issued by the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals (DCPC)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
