The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC)<\/strong> has issued a circular<\/strong> announcing the launch of an online module on ICEGATE 2.0<\/strong> for filing and processing applications under Section 65 of the Customs Act, 1962<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This initiative enhances transparency and ease of doing business by enabling electronic submission and approval<\/strong> of applications for manufacturing and operational activities within bonded and special warehouses.<\/p>\n

2. Scope of the Online Module<\/h2>\n

The module covers applications under two key regulatory frameworks:<\/p>\n

  1. Manufacture and Other Operations in Warehouse Regulations, 2019 (MOOWR)<\/strong> \u2013 applicable to warehouses licensed under Section 58<\/strong> of the Customs Act.<\/li>\n
  2. Manufacture and Other Operations in Special Warehouse Regulations, 2020 (MOOSWR)<\/strong> \u2013 applicable to special warehouses licensed under Section 58A<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The online platform aims to streamline the end-to-end process<\/strong> of licensing, operation, and monitoring of bonded and special warehouses.<\/p>\n

    Comprehensive User Manuals<\/strong> for both trade users<\/strong> and departmental officers<\/strong> have been made available on the ICEGATE portal<\/strong> to assist users in navigating the module\u2019s functionalities.<\/p>\n
