Change in Import Policy Status<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"367\" data-end=\"465\">With <strong data-start=\"372\" data-end=\"392\">immediate effect<\/strong>, the import policy for Articles of Platinum has been revised as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"469\" data-end=\"495\"><strong data-start=\"469\" data-end=\"488\">Earlier status \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Free<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"532\"><strong data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"517\">Revised status \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Restricted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"534\" data-end=\"666\">Accordingly, imports under ITC (HS) Code 71141920 shall now be governed by <strong data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"649\">Policy Condition No. 6 of Chapter 71<\/strong> of the ITC (HS).<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"715\">2. Applicability of Policy Condition No. 6<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"745\">As a result of the revision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"873\">Import of Articles of Platinum will require <strong data-start=\"792\" data-end=\"843\">compliance with the conditions and restrictions<\/strong> prescribed under Chapter 71<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"876\" data-end=\"996\">Importers must obtain the <strong data-start=\"902\" data-end=\"940\">necessary authorisations\/approvals<\/strong>, wherever applicable, before undertaking such imports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1040\">3. Exemption for Specified Re-imports<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1042\" data-end=\"1208\">DGFT has clarified that <strong data-start=\"1066\" data-end=\"1137\">certain categories of re-imports of Indian-origin platinum articles<\/strong> shall <strong data-start=\"1144\" data-end=\"1192\">continue to remain under the \u2018Free\u2019 category<\/strong>. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1212\" data-end=\"1270\">Goods sent abroad for <strong data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1268\">exhibitions or promotion tours<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1273\" data-end=\"1314\"><strong data-start=\"1273\" data-end=\"1312\">Rejected, returned, or unsold goods<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1388\">Goods exported for <strong data-start=\"1336\" data-end=\"1346\">repair<\/strong> and subsequently re-imported into India<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1461\">Such re-imports shall not be impacted by the revised restricted status.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1485\">4. Effective Date<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1590\">\n<li data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1590\">\n<p data-start=\"1489\" data-end=\"1590\">The amended import policy is <strong data-start=\"1518\" data-end=\"1543\">effective immediately<\/strong> from the date of issuance of the notification.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"1597\" data-end=\"1612\">5.
