The Directorate General of Foreign Trade<\/span><\/span> (DGFT)<\/strong> has issued a public notice<\/strong> amending Para 4.73(19)<\/strong> of the Handbook of Procedures (HBP) 2023<\/strong>, with immediate effect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

1. Substitution of Laboratory Name at Serial No. 19<\/h2>\n

The amendment substitutes the name of the authorised diamond grading laboratory listed at Serial No. 19<\/strong> under Para 4.73(19) of HBP 2023 as follows:<\/p>\n

  • Earlier Name \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0GIA Laboratory, DMCC, Dubai, UAE<\/em><\/li>\n
  • Revised Name \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0GIA Laboratory, FZCO, Dubai, UAE<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The change is limited to the corporate suffix of the laboratory entity.<\/p>\n

    2. Effect of the Amendment<\/h2>\n

    Pursuant to the amendment:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • All references under Para 4.73(19) of HBP 2023<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Shall now reflect the suffix \u2018FZCO\u2019<\/strong> in place of \u2018DMCC\u2019<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      No other modification has been made to the eligibility or recognition status of the laboratory.<\/p>\n
