Trade Notice No. 31\/2025-26<\/a>, Dated 06-03-2026<\/p>\n

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a Trade Notice<\/strong> launching the Credit Assistance for E-Commerce Exporters<\/strong> intervention under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) \u2013 Niryat Protsahan<\/strong>, with prospective effect.<\/p>\n

The initiative is aimed at improving access to working capital for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)<\/strong> engaged in cross-border e-commerce exports.<\/p>\n

1. Objective of the Intervention<\/h2>\n

The scheme seeks to support MSME exporters by enabling them to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Manufacture and stock goods in advance<\/strong> of anticipated global demand<\/li>\n
  • Manage working capital requirements effectively<\/li>\n
  • Expand their participation in cross-border e-commerce markets<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Strengthen their presence in global value chains<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The intervention is intended to address liquidity constraints commonly faced by exporters engaged in online international trade.<\/p>\n

    2. Credit Support Mechanism<\/h2>\n

    Under the scheme, exporters will receive financial support through:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Credit guarantee cover<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n
    • Interest subvention<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      These benefits will apply to working capital facilities<\/strong> such as:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Cash credit<\/li>\n
      • Overdraft facilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        extended by eligible banks and financial institutions.<\/p>\n

        3. Implementation through Exim Bank<\/h2>\n

        The intervention will be implemented on a pilot basis<\/strong> through the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        Exim Bank will play a key role in facilitating the credit support mechanism and operationalising the scheme.<\/p>\n

        4. Operational Guidelines<\/h2>\n

        The Trade Notice also provides that detailed operational and procedural guidelines<\/strong> will govern the implementation of the scheme. These guidelines outline the framework for eligibility, credit support mechanisms, and administrative processes involved in the intervention.<\/p>\n

        5. Significance of the Initiative<\/h2>\n

        The scheme is expected to:<\/p>\n

        • Strengthen financial access for MSME exporters<\/li>\n
