Notification No. 06\/2026-Customs<\/a>, Dated 12-03-2026<\/p>\n

The Central Government has amended Notification No. 45\/2025-Customs dated 24 October 2025<\/strong>, which grants customs duty exemption for the import of precious metals by specified banks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

1. Inclusion of SBER Bank in Eligible List<\/h2>\n

Pursuant to the amendment, SBER Bank<\/strong> has been added as Item No. 3 in List 14 of Table I<\/strong> of the notification.<\/p>\n

This inclusion makes the bank eligible to import precious metals under the customs exemption framework<\/strong> applicable to specified banks.<\/p>\n

2. Conditions for Import<\/h2>\n

The amended notification specifies that:<\/p>\n

  • The import of precious metals by SBER Bank<\/strong> is permitted only for domestic consumption<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • The authorisation is valid for the period from 25 June 2025 to 31 March 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    3. Objective of the Amendment<\/h2>\n
