The investigation originated from a firm named M\/s Ramdoot Enterprises, which was found to be procuring goods from non-existent or suspended firms, and the applicant, alleged operator of two firms, was accused of availing input tax credit (ITC) through bogus billing without movement of goods. It was submitted that allegations were documented, searches occurred, records were seized, and statements were recorded. The matter was placed before the High Court.<\/p>\n<h2><em>High Court Held<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>The High Court held that the allegations against the applicant were based on documentary material. It was observed that the investigation stood substantially complete as records were seized and statements were recorded. It was held that further custodial interrogation was not required.
