Customs On-Arrival Movement Regulations

Notification No. 11/2025 – Customs (N.T.), Dated 17-02-2025

The CBIC has introduced the Customs (On-Arrival Movement for Storage and Clearance at Authorised Importer Premises) Regulations, 2025. Effective from a date yet to be notified, these regulations allow Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs) under Tier II & III to store and clear imported goods at designated importer premises. The facility aims to enhance trade facilitation by streamlining storage, examination, and clearance procedures.

To avail this facility, importers must submit an application to the Commissioner of Customs for a licence under sections 58 or 58A of the Customs Act. The Commissioner will verify the Authorised Importer Premises and issue a decision on the application. Additionally, importers are required to declare their intent to use the facility in the Bill of Entry under section 46, providing relevant details of the designated premises.
