Confiscated Drones Disposal

Circular No. 06/2025-Customs, dated 04-03-2025

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), through Circular No. 06/2025-Customs, has amended its guidelines to streamline the disposal of confiscated drones (UAS/UAV/RPAS). It designates five focal Customs Commissionerates—Chennai, Delhi (IGIA), Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bengaluru (Airport & Air Cargo)—for warehousing, segregation, joint inspection, and distribution. Additionally, all Customs Zones have been mapped to these Commissionerates as indicated at Annexure-A of this circular.

This amendment supersedes Para 4.b. of Circular No. 32/2019-Customs.
