Notification No. 44/2026-Customs (N.T.), Dated 11-05-2026
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has issued a notification further amending Notification No. 12/97-Customs (N.T.) dated 02-04-1997.
1. New Entry for Madhya Pradesh
The notification inserts a new entry under Serial Number 8 relating to the State of Madhya Pradesh. The following location has been added:
- “Village Namli, Ratlam”
2. Purpose of the Notification
The notified location has been authorised for:
- Unloading of imported goods, and
- Loading of export goods
- Or any specified class of such goods
3. Specific Amendment
Item “(xi) Village Namli, Ratlam” has been inserted in Column (3) of the Table along with the corresponding entry in Column (4)
4. Objective of the Amendment
The notification aims to:
- Expand customs infrastructure and trade facilitation points
- Improve import-export logistics in the region
- Enable customs handling operations at the notified location
5. Conclusion
The inclusion of Village Namli, Ratlam under the customs notification enhances regional trade facilitation by authorising the location for handling import and export cargo operations.
