The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a notification amending Policy Condition No. 2 under Chapter 95 of ITC (HS), 2022 – Schedule I (Import Policy), which covers toys, games and sports requisites.
1. Deletion of Policy Condition No. 2 (iii)
As per the amendment:

Policy Condition No. 2 (iii) under Chapter 95 has been deleted.
This means that the specific requirement or restriction contained in this sub-condition will no longer apply to imports falling under this chapter.
2. Effective Date
The deletion has come into effect immediately from the date of issuance of the notification.
3. Implication of the Amendment
With the removal of Policy Condition No. 2 (iii):
- Importers of goods under Chapter 95 will no longer be subject to the deleted condition
- The regulatory framework for import of toys, games and sports requisites is simplified to that extent
4. Objective of the Amendment
The amendment is aimed at:
- Rationalising the import policy framework under Chapter 95
- Removing specific procedural or compliance requirements
- Facilitating smoother import processes for the concerned product category
