Public Notice No. 15/2025-26, Dated 22-07-2025
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a Public Notice introducing changes to the Application Form ANF-2N, which pertains to export authorisation for specified products.
1. Key Amendment – Optional Fields in ANF-2N
Under the revised norms, the following fields in the export authorisation application for Pharma Grade Sugar have been made optional:
- Shipment Details
- Foreign Buyer/Consignee Details
This change aims to simplify the application process and offer greater flexibility to exporters in the pharmaceutical sector.
2. Provision for Future Amendments
Exporters may now amend buyer-wise and shipment-related details after receiving export orders, provided such amendments are made prior to the actual export. This allows exporters to apply for authorisation without having confirmed buyer details upfront, thus facilitating quicker processing of applications.
3. Objective of the Amendment
The move is intended to:
- Streamline the export authorisation process for Pharma Grade Sugar
- Accommodate real-world business timelines, where buyer information may not be immediately available
- Enhance ease of doing business in the pharmaceutical exports segment
