DGFT Source from India micropage

Trade Notice 05/2025-26, Dated 13-06-2025

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a Trade Notice announcing the expansion of the ‘Source from India’ micropage feature hosted on the Trade Connect ePlatform (www.trade.gov.in). This initiative, initially launched on a pilot basis, is now being made available to a broader group of exporters to promote India’s export capabilities globally.

1. Key Expansion – Now Open to All Status Holder Exporters

The facility, which was earlier available only to Three-star, Four-star, and Five-star Manufacturer Exporters, is now extended to all Status Holder exporters possessing:

  • A valid Importer-Exporter Code (IEC), and
  • No record in the Denied Entity List (DEL) maintained by DGFT.

Exporters meeting these criteria can now create customised micropages featuring their product offerings, business credentials, and company profile, which will be publicly listed on the ‘Source from India’ portal after approval.

2. Purpose and Benefits of the Micropage Facility

The ‘Source from India’ feature is designed to:

  • Enable greater international visibility for Indian exporters;
  • Act as a trusted directory for foreign buyers and trade intermediaries;
  • Present verified exporter details in a centralised and searchable format;
  • Provide Indian exporters a digital storefront without any cost.

3. Engagement by Indian Missions Abroad

Indian Missions Abroad have been sensitised to actively utilise this platform as a reference tool while responding to sourcing queries from foreign buyers. This will aid in connecting global demand with verified Indian suppliers.

4. Role of Export Promotion Councils and Industry Associations

DGFT has requested Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and Industry Associations to:

  • Inform their members about this facility;
  • Encourage participation from all eligible Status Holders;
  • Share the annexed registration guide for ease of onboarding.

5. Future Scope

DGFT has indicated that the facility may be further expanded to non-status holder IECs in future phases, thereby broadening access to this visibility-boosting tool for a larger exporter base.

6. Conclusion

This move marks another step by DGFT towards digital trade facilitation, market access support, and strengthening India’s export ecosystem. Status Holder exporters are encouraged to utilise this opportunity to showcase their capabilities and tap into new international markets through the ‘Source from India’ portal.
