DGFT TRQ application deadline extended

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a public notice extending the last date for submission of Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) applications for FY 2026–27 under various Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Preferential Trade Agreements (PTAs) notified in Appendix-2A of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2023.

1. Revised Last Date for Submission

The deadline for submission of TRQ applications, which was earlier 28 February 2026, has now been extended to 15 March 2026.

Exporters and eligible applicants may accordingly submit their applications within the extended timeline.

2. Agreements Covered Under the Extension

The extension applies to specified products covered under the following agreements:

  • India–Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
  • India–Mercosur Trade Agreement
  • India–Mauritius Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement (CECPA)
  • India–Nepal Treaty
  • India–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)

3. Applicability of Existing Conditions

DGFT has clarified that all other terms and conditions prescribed under Appendix-2A of FTP, 2023 will continue to remain unchanged and applicable.

Only the deadline for submission of TRQ applications has been extended.

4. Submission of Online Applications

Eligible applicants seeking allocation of TRQ for specified products under the above FTAs/PTAs for FY 2026–27 must submit their online applications on or before 15 March 2026.

Applications filed within the extended timeline will be considered in accordance with the prescribed policy and procedural framework.
