The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified four new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) under the Chemical and Allied Product Group ‘A’.
1. Newly Notified SION Serial Numbers
The newly introduced SIONs are:
- A-3698
- A-3699
- A-3700
- A-3701
2. Products Covered
The norms prescribe input-output ratios for export products including:
- Cefuroxime Sterile Sodium
- NAS-5
- Tobramycin Nebuliser Solution
- Schaeffers Acid
3. Details Specified in SIONs
The notified norms specify:
- Permitted import items
- Corresponding quantities and consumption norms
- Inputs allowed for manufacture of export products under Advance Authorisation Scheme
4. Operational Impact
- Regional Authorities can now issue Advance Authorisations directly
- Without referring cases individually to the Norms Committee
