Sports Goods & Toys Export Promotion Council

Public Notice 11/2025-26, Dated 12-06-2025

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a public notice announcing an amendment to Appendix 2T of the Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms (ANFs) under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023. The update pertains to the revised name and contact details of an export promotion agency listed under Serial No. 23.

1. Renaming of the Export Promotion Council

As per the amendment:

  • The agency previously known as ‘The Sports Goods Export Promotion Council’ has now been renamed as the
‘Sports Goods & Toys Export Promotion Council’.

This renaming reflects an expanded scope to include toys under the ambit of the Council, in line with government efforts to boost exports in emerging and high-potential sectors.

2. Updated Contact Information

Along with the name change, the registered office address, telephone numbers, email ID, and website details of the Council have also been revised. These updated details are now part of Appendix 2T, which serves as the official list of recognised Export Promotion Councils, Commodity Boards, and Export Development Authorities under the FTP.

3. Implications for Exporters

This amendment is effective immediately. Accordingly:

  • Exporters seeking to obtain or renew a Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) for sports goods or toys must now contact the ‘Sports Goods & Toys Export Promotion Council’.
  • They should refer to the updated contact details as listed in the revised Appendix 2T to ensure smooth communication and application processing.

Failure to follow the updated procedure may result in delays or misdirection of correspondence.

4. Conclusion

The DGFT’s amendment aims to streamline export facilitation and better align promotional efforts with evolving trade priorities. Exporters in the sports goods and toys sectors are advised to take note of these changes and update their records accordingly.
