Anti-Dumping Duty on Import

Notification No. 06/2025-Customs (Add), Dated 24-03-2025

The Central Government has imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of ‘Roller Chains’ classified under tariff item 7315 11 00 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, originating in or exported from China PR. The designated authority in its final findings vide Notification No. 06/26/2023-DGTR, Dated 26-11-2024, concluded that:

  1. The subject goods have been exported to India from the subject country at prices below the normal value, resulting in dumping,
  2. The domestic industry has suffered material injury due to such imports from the subject country , and
    • The material injury has been directly caused by the dumped imports of subject goods from the subject country.

Based on these determinations, the authority recommended the imposition of anti-dumping duty on the import of subject goods to remove the injury to the domestic industry.

The applicable anti-dumping duty varies based on the producer. The Imports from specified producers/importers listed in the notification shall attract a NIL duty, whereas imports from all other producers in China PR are subject to an anti-dumping duty at the rate of 6.34% of the CIF value.

The above anti-dumping duty imposed shall be levied for a period of 5 years from the date of publication of this notification and shall be payable in Indian currency.
