Anti-dumping duty

Notification No. 03/2025-Customs (ADD), Dated 17-03-2025

The Government has imposed an anti-dumping duty on “Vacuum insulated flask and other vacuum vessels, of stainless steel” (tariff items 9617 00 11, 9617 00 12, 9617 00 90) imported from China PR, following DGTR’s findings that such imports were:

  • Dumped at prices below normal value,
  • Causing material injury to the domestic industry, and
  • Undercutting the domestic industry’s prices.

The above anti-dumping duty imposed shall be levied for a period of 5 years from the date of publication of this notification and shall be payable in Indian currency.

Further, single-walled flasks, electric kettles and other electric vessels are excluded from the scope of PUC. The exchange rate for the calculation of duty shall be as per Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962, based on the date of bill of entry presentation section 46 of the said Customs Act.
