Export Duty on Onions

Notification No. 19/2025-Customs, Dated 22-03-2025

The Central Government has amended Notification No. 27/2011-Customs, dated 01-03-2011, to revise the export duty on onions. In the TABLE of the said notification, against S. No. 1, in column (4), for the existing entry, the entry “nil” shall be substituted.

Accordingly, with effect from 01-04-2025, the export duty on onions has been reduced to nil.  Earlier, an export duty of 20% was levied on onions.
