Trade Notice No. 32/2024-25, Dated 28-02-2025
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a directive addressing challenges faced by exporters in the closure of Advance Authorisation (AA) due to system constraints in capturing complete item descriptions in Shipping Bills. The online system restricts item descriptions to 120 characters, leading to deficiencies raised by Regional Authorities (RAs) for non-compliance with Para 4.42(iii) of FTP 2023. To resolve this, RAs are permitted to corroborate the complete description of export items using self-attested copies of GST system-generated e-invoices.
Exporters facing such issues must upload self-attested GST e-invoices along with all other prescribed documents while applying for Redemption/EODC of Advance Authorisations. RAs will assess these cases based on the corroborated description and process them accordingly.
